Dr. David Hall was a long time and founding member of the San Gabriel Valley Civic Alliance. Our executive director, Ed Rendon, said, "I am forever grateful to have known Dr. David Hall as colleague, friend and mentor.  He was a tireless humanitarian with one of the most indomitable spirits I have ever encountered in my life.  Moving forward, I dedicate my community service to this region as a testament to his unique and endearing legacy."

Chairman Jerry Velasco also reflected on Dr. Hall adding, "We will miss his friendship, mentoring and leadership.  He was an advocate for our region and the SGVCA.  He was a teacher and example for all of us on how to truly serve your community for the better."

Born in Coffeyville, Kansas and graduated from the University of Kansas in 1966, David was a dedicated Jayhawk sports fan his entire life. He obtained his doctorate in political science from Stanford University. David entered the Air Force and, during the Vietnam years, taught at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After his years in the service he taught at Brown University and at the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. In the early 90’s he changed life direction moving to Los Angeles and joining Hitchcock Automotive Resources.
